Final Fantasy XIII Versus May Be My Last

Anyone else think Final Fantasy has been kind of ass recently?

I stopped playing FFXII because of many reasons, but mostly because I didn’t care about the characters and story. Let alone some of the most gruelingly tedious gameplay ever.

FFX was fun, hell even FFX-2 was entertaining, but I have to say looking at footage from FFXII is making me think I am about to suffer another pointlessly complicated system of play, a bad story and a bunch of dick characters.

Thanks for putting Black people back in the cast Square Enix.

What happened to cool ass lead characters like Cloud and Squall? Hell, even Zidane and Tidus we bearable leads. Vaan from FFXII is just some pansy-ass Aladdin rip off who I hope dies every time I use him.

Now I have Lightening to look forward to in FFXIII? My hopes are dwindling, except that is seems Square Enix is hedging their bets and creating FFXIII Versus, eventually. So I can actually play a hero I don’t wish plagues upon.

It’s not my MO to bag on nerd stuff ad nausea but at this point I have Gamesharked FFXII and it still sucks.
