Post★Boy

I was having dinner with Post★Wife, my best bud and his wife, who were both amazed by our extensive knowledge of cartoons from the 70’s and 80’s. Despite my conviction that there was indeed a Grandma Smurf, what really made us nostalgic, was Battle of the Planets or as it originally called in Japan, Gatchaman.

Apparently, Imagi Studios (they made that CGI, Ninja Turtles movie) are making Gatchaman as well. The 8-year old boy in me is very excited. I got a Transformers movie that sucked last year, GI Joe sometime soon, and now this. The 80’s are  back big time. Thanks Kanye’s sunglasses!

Anyway, all that geekery prompted me to hit Amazon and look for DVD’s of Gatchaman. I found the original Japanese versions with all the death and killing. Unlike Voltron, it stands the test of time, but I like ninjas anyway I can get them.

I know, I am amazed we are married to women and have sex regularly too.
