If you are not familiar with The Boondocks you live under a rock it is about two young inner-city boys moving with their grandfather to some posh suburbs… oh! The boys and their granddad are black.
I picked up Season 2 of The Boondocks because wasting time waiting to see The Happening… please NEVER see that film! Anyway, the first season The Boondocks was some of the funniest, indulgent, humor since Chappelle’s Show. The appropriate colloquialism to describe it is that “they went there.”
So if Season One is a hit record then Season Two is definitely a sophmore slump, because while funny, it is not as funny as the previous season. The unaired BET-bashing episodes are worth the purchase of the box set alone, but a number of episodes fall flat. Mind you, this is compared to the first season which was 99% hilarious, so take this with some salt.
