Being subject to someone wearing too much perfume is not a new event for most of us. Even joking that doing so does not take the place of a shower is a bit trite.
However, the girl sitting next to me on the train was wearing so much cheap ass perfume that it honestly would have been cheaper for her to invest in a good soap. Offensive smells do not necessarily have to be foul to be repugnant.
