I admit it. There is emo on my iPod. I was drawn in by Fall Out Boy’s, Dance Dance after hearing it who knows where.
So after many a rave review, I copped My Chemical Romance’s Black Parade and honestly like about three songs. Despite being chided by friend and foe for my musical maladies, I thought why not try some Panic! at the Disco, when I finally realized that all these fuckers kinda sound alike.
Truthfully, Panic! and My Chem sound exactly alike so I will still play FOB without feeling like a total puss. Either way, I can see why the emo is hated - basically if no one tells you the name of the band, you can assume it is one or the other.
I have my moments where I need to listen to this stuff, but when that moment is over, it’s time to punch stomachs and take milk money.

That one Panic! at the Disco song that won the VMA for best new video (WHY the fuck do I even know that?!) makes me want to stab something sharp and pointy into my ears. And eyes. And then break my radio.
But other than that, I don’t know who sings what either.
Uh oh. I’ve actually got FOB, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance and Mae on my ipod. Am I not cool? Oh geez, I so totally suck now. What a rude awakening?
For Pete’s sake - like it. Just like it. Hell, LOVE it. Who gives a crap? It’s an IPOD dammit. Can you say ear-buds? Heh. No one has to know. It’ll be our little secret. Ooo, a bonding moment. *grin*
We all have musical shame on our iPod’s and FOB is light stuff compared to what any of us could reveal. We all live in glass houses.
There’s a reason that Emo rhymes with oh-no
