Being an Aethist is the Only Thing Saving Me from Hell
Oh, fun times.
Last night, I probably lived one of the funniest goddamn stories in my life. Let’s begin…
So, I bought the last part of my Halloween costume and went to go have a drink with my pals. The night before, I had hurt my liver pretty bad so my intention was for an early night. Did I mention that I went to go have a drink with my pals.
Yeah…
My buddy Bedda, calls me up while I am at the pub because I had promised him two Halloween/birthday parties. I’d had a couple pints which make me very agreeable and off we go, grabbing T-Bone and Wonder Girl along the way. The first party was good times and I met a Bad Angel and a good one.
They were both a good bit younger than Your Mouse & Friends so I understood when Good Angel said that she felt the crowd was a bit too mature for her.
Fair enough.
Being the gentleman Mouse that I am, I suggested my younger friend’s party in Manhattan and off we go, except the bad angel stayed.
Good Angel and I found out along the way that we both went to the same college. Well she is still there… but whatever. We hit the party, she meets a boy and we paint the town - hoorah.
Very normal.
During the evening, she asks more questions about where I went to high school, etc., and come to find out, she is the daughter of my favorite English teacher…
Dood. I was bad enough that I picked up a youngin’ but then I find out she is my favorite teacher’s kid AND I was her after school counselor. I must have laughed for a very very long time that evening and it wasn’t the alcohol - it was the irony.
Funny thing is, I really do appreciate her dad a lot. He actually was the only teacher that had an impression on me in the shithole that was my high school. Drunken Mouse instantly became Big Brother Mouse, so I made sure that she had a good time and that none of the guys got too fresh and brought her home safe. She is now my unofficial Little Sister Mouse with all the benefits of boy-advice, protection and jackass beat downs therein.
