This may sound curmudgeonly, but for reals, a great reason to not build this fucking Manhattan-spawned turd of an eyesore in Brooklyn is because it is very Un-Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is where people live. They don’t visit it on tour and they don’t come to Brooklyn to shop.
Manhattan was created to keep the assholes tourists from sullying our homes with their fanny pack, slow walking, picture snapping, nonsense.
I generally support things that improve neighborhoods, but why is it always something commercial as opposed to say…improving the schools in Bushwick? Hell, if you want to keep it in Park Slope, build a 40-story John Jay High School with all the amenities, at least that would help someone.
Fuckers.
